"First time ever taping with an external mic. Interestingly enough, My buddy and I actually got upgraded. We had lawn tickets, and I started rolling tape to test levels and everything. About 5 minutes into recording, two LiveNation workers walk up to us. I was thinking 'oh fuck, I just got here, Static-X isn't even on yet, and here I am about to get busted'. No turns out they gave us upgraded seats right by FOH. Perfect. Speaking of the recording itself, it sounds pretty good I'd say, you can hear my buddy and I talking and occasionally singing throughout, as well as me laughing with his antics. When it gets overpowering I tried to reduce the volume for a better listening experience. What's crazy is I really thought I'd have to reduce levels, but I actually had to BOOST them to get the mic to pick it up. The Sony ECM-719 did an admirable job. For this particular set, it has less of me and my buddy than Static-X, although you can still hear us on a few songs. again, it's good music and a good show, I'm gonna try and enjoy myself occasionally." - Taper
